Smart City Bhopal Office Inaugurated by RGPV and DAuto Together

BHOPAL: 28-04-2018-DAuto and RGPV inaugurated an office in Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya together to perform projects of Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Limited. The Smart City Bhopal has a tie-up with RGPV and DAuto for completing their technological projects concerning engineering services, consultancy, research & development, innovation and etc. The university-industry combination will help Smart City in fulfilling its vision.

 

The inauguration event was accompanies by Dr. S.K. Gupta (VC, RGPV), Mr. Vikas Pandey (Director, DAuto) and other RPGV officials. The benefits of university-industry linkages are wide-reaching: they can help coordinate R&D agendas and avoid duplications, stimulate additional private R&D investment (additionally effect), and exploit synergies and complementarities of scientific and technological capabilities. University-industry collaboration can also expand the relevance of research carried out in public institutions, foster the commercialization of public R&D outcomes, and increase the mobility of labor between public and private sectors.

 

The RGPV being an university will deploy its engineering youth, professors for completing the projects. on the other hand being an industry the DAuto will transfer technology from abroad, and its expertise.



MOU Signed Between Centre For Innovation Design and Incubation SGSITS Indore and DAuto

INDORE: 23-04-2018-The first Design Center of the Madhya Pradesh named A Centre for Innovation, Design and Incubation (CIDI) was inaugurated at Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS). The centre would promote product research, design development, innovations, technology and help students in designing products and encourage them to take entrepreneurial path.

 

The SGSITS has chosen the DAuto as its identified agency for the industry-institute collaboration which will impart the technology and deliver the expertise, projects along with training at CIDI. The SGSITS Director Dr. RK Saxena said that industries of MP could also use the institute’s facility for designing their products. The centre was inaugurated by minister of state for technical education and skill development (independent charge) Mr. Deepak Joshi.

The CIDI is leveraged with latest technological tools and techniques which will not only help students but industries, working professionals, startups and MSMEs.

RGPV vice chancellor Dr. Sunil K Gupta, Director (technical education) Prof. Veerendra Kumar, Director(DAuto) Mr. Vikas Pandey and other industrialists were also present on the occasion. Addressing the assembly, the technical education minister described CIDI as one of its kind facility having technological amenities in the state. He appealed from industries to make a use of it. He also said that it’s commonly observed that the quality of workforce produced by engineering colleges is not as per the needs of the industry as it lacks hands-on experience and this centre is expected to overcome this issue.

The minister also announced plans to set up an advisory committee involving educationalists, industry pioneers and business groups for better linkage between Industry-Academia. The committee will meet each month.

CIDI will promote the mission of SKILL INDIA, STARTUPs, MAKE IN INDIA in the state.
